In Math, students learn number skills, Addition & Subtraction Basics, and are introduced to Fractions, Graphs, Money, Time, and Measurement. In Language Arts, students work towards building reading skills with Phonics and Sight Words. Science and Social Studies include topics such as the 5 Senses, Maps & Globes, World Culture & Celebrations, and Animals and their Habitats.
In Math, students learn Addition & Subtraction facts to 12, and practice Graphing Data, Place Value, Money, Time, and Measurement. In Language Arts, students continue building reading skills and learn parts of speech. Science and Social Studies include topics such as Space, the Water Cycle, Geography, and History.
In Math, students practice Addition & Subtraction with 2 digit numbers, and are introduced to Fractions, Probablility, and Multiplication. In Language Arts, students use their reading skills to read more challenging texts and write sentences. Science and Social Studies include topics such as Animals, Landforms, Biomes, and learn about countries such as Canada and Mexico.
In Math, students practice Addition & Subtraction with 3 digit numbers, and are introduced to Multiplication, Division, Perimeter, Area, Volume, and Decimals. In Language Arts, students analyze texts for Main Idea, Details, Setting, Plot, and Purpose. Science and Social Studies include topics such as the Solar System, the Engineering Process, Simple & Compound Machines, and Communities and Citizenship.
In Math, students practice Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Place Value, as well as Adding and Subtracting Fractions and Mixed Numbers. In Language Arts, students develop critical reading skills such as Summarizing, Sequencing, and Analyzing text, as well as intensive Grammar work. Science and Social Studies include topics such as Matter, Energy, Electricity, and United States Geography.
In Math, students continue Number Operations and begin Prime Numbers, Factorization, and Geometrical Measurements. In Language Arts, students read and write for various purposes and learn to properly structure and organize their writing. Science and Social Studies include topics such as Plant and Animal Life, Energy, and Ecosystems, as well as an examination of Historical Cultures around the world
Middle School Language Arts focuses on further developing writing and critical reading skills. Students read a variety of diverse fiction and nonfiction texts and work to improve their grammar, spelling, and writing skills.
Trinity offers a personalized path to success in Mathematics by meeting students where they are and building their skills incrementally. Students are grouped by current skill level instead of by grade and have access to a comprehensive, completely customizable online mathematics program.
Middle School Science gives students engaging, interactive resources and hands-on learning to enhance their understanding. 6th Grade focuses on Earth Science, 7th Grade studies Life Science, and 8th Grade learns Physical Science.
6th Grade World Cultures studies the Ancient Civilizations that developed into the societies we have today. Students learn the rich history of the Ancient Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Indians, Chinese, Greek, and Roman cultures, and the religions that were associated with them. 7th Grade students learn about the cultures and countries that had a hand in leading up to the eventual Colonization of the United States. 8th Graders focus on American History and Government.
Throughout every grade, Christian Education teaches students about Biblical History and Truth. Each month, we focus on one Christian Character Trait and learn to model these traits in our daily lives. We use an interactive online program called Deep Roots Bible to study bible stories and lessons in depth, and students relate what they learn to their lives.
