2-4 Open positions (lead staff)

Required Training and Certification: 

  •  High school diploma, certificate of high school equivalency, or successful completion of college courses for credit 
  • 6 semester, 90 clock hours7 or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework2 
  • 1 year of experience working with preschoolers in an approved setting or  1 year of college (30 semester hours), or  Combination of experience and college that equals 1 year 
  • At least 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents and the public 
  • 3 clock hours in ADA Compliance 
  • Afternoon hours - 2:45-5:45pm

Preschool & Before/After Care

Middle School Director

Middle School Director reports directly to the Principal of the School. This position is responsible for instructional leadership, administration and organization of Middle School staff and students. The Director shall work in close partnership with the Lower School Director and Early Learning Center Director.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

(Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following.)

  • Attend middle school devotional time each morning.
  • Morning and afternoon: Greet middle school students and their families at the main entrance, while ensuring parking lot safety.
  • Visit classrooms throughout the day to check on students learning, engagement and possible technology needs.
  • Manage staff absences and substitute coverage.
  • Oversee and may provide instructional support and guidance to teachers.
  • Counsel and provide guidance to students, teachers and parents regarding academic and behavioral issues. Provide the necessary time to meet with parents.
  • Oversee and evaluate the staff on performance and relationships with co-workers, students and parents.
  • Assist teachers in developing and maintaining appropriate and effective teaching methods.

ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES

(Ongoing Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following.)

  • Meets on a regular basis with the Principal to discuss procedures, curriculum and administration, etc.
  • Actively participates in regular scheduled meetings with administrative staff.
  • Meets with school nurse in acquiring necessary permission forms and medicines.
  • Orders all middle school supplies including textbooks, workbooks, art supplies, science specimens and physical education equipment.
  • Give tours to new prospective families, administer screening testing and review students’ records for acceptance.
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring of teachers and substitutes.
  • Make class placement, for all middle school students.
  • Assist in developing Professional Development for teachers.
  • Review quarterly progress and report cards for students.
  • Plans and attends all middle school events, such as New Parent Orientation, Graduation, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of educational changes and developments by attending professional meetings, online sessions, and reading journals.

Essential Requirements in order to apply for the job:

  • Must be a devoted Christian
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education and some classes in business administration
  • State Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Master’s degree desirable
  • Seven years’ teaching experience

K-8 School Counselor

Under the direction of the Principal. This position is required to provide counseling and guidance to K-8 grade students. Identify and counsel students with special needs and behavioral social and school adjustment problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not limited to the following.)

  • Provide, individual, group, and classroom counseling to students; confer as needed with teachers and parents and others regarding student needs, social/emotional support, improvement of study habits and academic skills, post middle school success, program plans, and positive behavior planning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of community resources and recent trends of counseling techniques.
  • Prepare records and reports related to the assignment; prepare letters to parents, reports, referrals and related documents.
  • Interprets to students, parents, and teachers, test data and other information relating to the students’ progress in school. Utilize diagnostic and assessment procedures as appropriate; gather organize and interpret data regarding student’s present information to teachers and parents.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by the Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

  • Effective personnel and academic counseling techniques and procedures.
  • Counseling theory, ethics and associated legal confidentiality requirements.
  • Specific laws regarding minors and child abuse reporting.
  • Normal and abnormal child behavior and development.
  • Behavior modification techniques and strategies.
  • Student assistance programs.

Ability to:

  • Provide Christian Counseling services to students.
  • Identify and counsel students with special needs and behavioral, social and school adjustment problems.
  • Assess student needs and develop viable plans and alternatives.
  • Plan, prepare and conduct individual, group and classroom counseling sessions.
  • Maintain current knowledge applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
  • Meet regularly with the principal.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Must be a devoted Christian
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education and classes relating to School Counseling
  • 5 years’ experience in school counseling
  • Master’s degree desirable

Now hiring - Kitchen Helper

Part-time 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday


Pays $14 per hour


We are searching for an organized, energetic kitchen helper for our Fellowship Hall, which is where we serve breakfast and lunch.


The Kitchen Helper reports to the Kitchen Manager and the Operations Director.


The Kitchen Helper is responsible for storing ingredients and assisting with food preparation, etc. This person must ensure that the kitchen and storage areas remain clean at all times. This person must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask. Responsibilities: • Washing, chopping, shredding and grating of ingredients for the preparation of food • Arranging food to serve to students • Serving food • Keeping kitchen clean • Assisting in packing lunches for students • Assisting in preparing food • Assisting with the unloading of deliveries • Storing ingredients according to prescribed food safety • Assisting with monitoring with inventory • Reporting all damaged or faulty equipment to the kitchen manager Requirements:


• High school diploma or equivalent • Prior work experience in a similar position • Knowledge of food safety procedures • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to stand for long periods of time
